About Hidden Gems Rescue

Hidden Gems Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit cat rescue and adoption organization created to give a voice to the cats who are too often passed by. We work hands-on to rescue, foster, and advocate for cats in need, ensuring they receive proper medical care and the opportunity to thrive in a loving home. Every cat we take in is treated like family—because to us, they are.

Our vision is a world where no cat is invisible—where the ones left behind, passed over, or forgotten are finally seen for the treasures they truly are. We believe every hidden gem deserves the chance to be held, to be loved, and to belong. Through patience, compassion, and unwavering dedication, we strive to turn heartbreak into hope and give every cat the life they were always meant to have.

Allie

Director & Founder

Allie founded Hidden Gems Rescue with one simple belief: every cat deserves a chance, no matter their story. After years of hands-on rescue work, fostering, bottle feeding, medical cases, and helping overlooked cats find homes, Allie created Hidden Gems to focus on the ones too often passed by—the shy cats, the sick cats, the abandoned kittens, and the ones who just need someone willing to believe in them. What started with helping one cat at a time quickly grew into a passion-driven mission centered around compassion, advocacy, and giving forgotten cats the opportunity to shine. For Allie, rescue is more than saving lives—it’s about making sure every cat feels safe, loved, and finally home.

Brock

Co-Founder

Brock is the co-founder of Hidden Gems Rescue and an important part of the foundation behind the rescue’s mission. Working alongside Allie, Brock helps make the behind-the-scenes work possible—from transporting cats and setting up spaces to supporting medical cases and stepping in wherever help is needed most. His dedication, patience, and willingness to do whatever it takes for the animals have helped Hidden Gems grow into more than just a rescue—it’s become a safe place for cats who otherwise may have been forgotten.

Haylee

Junior Rescue Leader

Haylee is a young animal advocate with a huge heart and a passion for helping rescue cats and kittens. From helping at adoption events to supporting donation drives and spreading awareness for animals in need, Haylee plays an important role in helping hidden gems find loving homes. As Junior Rescue Leader, she helps inspire other kids and teens to get involved in rescue, show compassion, and make a difference in their community. Her dedication and love for animals prove that even the youngest voices can help change lives. Haylee is proud to help overlooked cats shine and be part of giving them the second chances they deserve.

Where our cats come from

We primarily focus on helping cats within our local Long Island communities. We work alongside shelters and local residents to help create space for animals in need and provide safe placements whenever we can. We also occasionally partner with rescues in North Carolina to help save cats from overcrowded kill shelters, where many overlooked and unwanted cats are at risk due to limited space. No matter where they come from, every cat that enters our care is treated with compassion, patience, and the chance for a better future.
